5 Ways To NOT Reach Your Goals

Hey there. Do you have any fitness goals in mind and DONT want to get to them? Or is your main goal not reaching them. If it is then follow these 5 pieces of advice.

If not then avoid these 5 dangerous mistakes at all costs.

1. DO WHAT YOUR FRIENDS ARE DOING- Everybodys different and what works for one person doesnt work for the next. So go ahead do the lemon juice and cayenne pepper diet your friend is doing. Or try the cabbage diet that your neighbors doing. None of these are healthy or get to your goals. In fact youll probably lose so more muscle than fat which will turn your metabolism upside down.

BONUS TIP- Why not do what most of the stars did and not eat at all. Or maybe a small salad (by small I mean 2 pieces of lettuce)

2. SET A GOAL YOU CANT REACH- Set a goal that you know is impossible to reach. Set a goal of losing 50lbs in 2 weeks so that way when you dont see great results by week 1 youll get discouraged and quit altogether.

BONUS TIP- Watch shows like biggest loser and belive you can lose 45lbs in 7 days.

3. DESIGN YOUR LIFE ACCORDING TO THIS SCHEDULE-  8am- wake up , 9am-take elevator instead of stairs even if its just one floor, 12pm-eat mcdonalds, 3pm- eat doughnuts from the vending machine, 6pm- skip workout, 9pm- watch tv and eat cheetos, 2am- sleep.  By not organizing your life youll throw your metabolism outta whack. And by hardly sleeping youll keep your body running on the bare minimum.

BONUS TIP- Skip more meals and dont eat every 3 hours so your metabolism will go down and your body will store fat.

4. FIND FRIENDS WHO DONT WANT TO SUCCEED- By surrounding yourself with others that dont want to reach a goal it will be 10x harder for you to reach yours. That way you will be influenced by them and not reaching your goal will be a piece of cake.

BONUS TIP-  Avoiding friends or family altogether will keep you unmotivated. 

5. STAY AWAY FROM BOOTCAMPS- These camps are proven to burn 9x more fat than regular exercise in half the time. And the people in them have the same goals and help each other reach them. Not to mention the energy in the camps are off the charts and the trainers literally guide you to your goals.

BONUS TIP-  Avoid working out at all. Thats a perfect way of getting farther from your goals.

 If you follow these 5 tips I gaurantee you will never reach your goals and not get the body and health that you want. Or if you’d rather get fit and look better naked then take my advice and do the complete opposite.

One Move To Sexier Shoulders

Madonna, Jessica Biel, Mario lopez, Jessica Alba, Ryan Reynolds etc. What do they all have in common besides rockin abs? You can’t get around it. Theres no way you have a complete physique without some sexy shoulders.

Shoulders are what make you or break you. A nice set of shoulders on a woman shows she’s fit and knows what she’s doing, and built shoulders on a man represent power and strength. Shoulders bring a definition to your entire arms if you work them out right. I’ll tell you what I mean by right. People tell me all the time, “Jonathan I do presses all the time, and I’m pretty strong but my shoulders dont look like it. Why?“. I’ll tell you why. Most people don’t know that there are 3 parts to your shoulders and each part has to get worked. Think of how a pumpkin has different groves and sections, that’s how your shoulders are, well with only 3 sections though.

There is the front head, middle head, and rear head. So if you want sexy shoulders then you have to hit em all. The front head gets the majority of the work.  You use them when you do pushups and presses. So doing presses alone won’t get you awesome shoulders but I’m not saying to cut them out. They still have their place in your workouts.  The middle head is the main section that will show all the hard work you’ve done. This section is the one that helps make you shoulders wider. Now ladies, wider isn’t a bad thing here. It’s really hard for women to grow bulky muscle, but there are the 1% that do (more than likely it’s not you). For men wider is a good thing too. It helps bring out your v-taper which in turn makes your waist look smaller.

Now the most neglected part of your shoulder is your rear head. This is another important part for sexy shoulders. It’s what makes that nice line that seperates your shoulders from your arms. Too many people work their “mirror muscles” and not their back muscles. So they end up with great front shoulders, so so middle shoulders, and zero rear shoulders. Almost like top heavy guys that don’t workout their legs. But thats another story.

So what if I told you there is a forgotten exercise that hits all 3 heads? What if I told you that this one exercise triples your progress and cuts your shoulder workout time by more then half. Well there is one and it’s the reason all my campers have great shoulders. Add this exercise to your routine and see how it helps.

The exercise is a mixture of 3 movements. You’ll need 2 dumbells and you dont need to go crazy with the weight honestly even 5lbs will burn. Start with your hands to your sides and do a lateral raise.

From the top position bring your arms forward so your fists are pointing straight in front of you and are at about eye level. At this point it should look like the end of a front raise.

Still at that top position just rewind and bring your arms back to a lateral raise then from there back down to your sides. That is 1 rep. Shoot for about 10 to start out then you can up it to 15. This exercise really tones the shoulders and burns like hell so a warning if you just like to go to a gym to socialize then this exercise is probably not for you. Become A Tea Master

Theres something about tea that makes me relax and feel good inside. I like it because it calms me down and makes me feel zen (sounds cool huh).

Well truth is the reason why I feel good inside is the health benefits of tea. The powerful antioxidants in tea are the main reason why people have been drinking it for years. Antioxidants fight off free radicals in your body caused by everyday things. They “pollute” your body. Think of it this way, free radicals are termites in your body and antioxidants are the exterminators! Its also a great energy boost. Im not a coffee person so I turn to Yerba Mate for my morning kickstart. There’s alot of different teas for alot of different things.

Now when I say tea I dont mean the sweet tea you get from chick-fil-a. Those teas taste great but are full of sugar. Im talking about green teas, white teas, black teas, etc. I like going to a store called Teavana to get all my teas, plus they actually show you how to make it or whats best. I always thought  you just boil water and pour it over the tea. As soon as I said that to the person at the tea shop I got a slap to the face! Well not really but I got chewed out because apparently different teas have different instructions. I just thought all teas tasted nasty, turns out ive been making them wrong so it comes out nasty.

As soon as I learned how to make tea I became addicted! I made yerba mate with lemon grass and strawberry kiwi! I thought this was awesome! Then I made a coconut spiced chai! A funny thing happened though. The more I made and drank tea, the more energy I had and the better I felt.

Before anything else Im gonna ask you for a favor. Try this for 3 weeks. Drink some form of good tea at least twice a day and see how different you feel from before you started drinking it.

The Often Ignored Benefit

I know ive been M.I.A for about a week, had to take care of a couple of things. But one thing ive had on my mind this whole time is something I have to share with you. Its something really important and something you shouldnt ignore.

There is one benefit about working out and eating right that outweighs the rest. Yeah now a days its all about looking and feeling sexy, and hey im all for it, thats the reason I started Get Sexy San Antonio Bootcamps. But the main benefit and important part is FEELING sexy. How are you going to feel sexy when you have high cholesterol or diabetes. Health is the most important part. If you take care of the inside, the outside will also be taken care of.

There is a fine line between looking healthy good and looking too good to be healthy. Alot of my bodybuilding friends are gonna be angry at me for this next piece but people need to know. When you see a bodybuilder at his best, its usually at about his unhealthiest. Water has been depleted to the point where some people get dehydrated and pass out backstage. Body fat becomes too low to where theres hardly any cushion between their joints. And because they are so depleted their strength is close to zero.

So what I want you to do is take a step back and look at your plan as a whole. Ok so your on track for getting abs in 8 weeks and your on track for those toned legs or arms. But are you also on track for health problems? Are you predisposed to any diseases because of your genes? Those are the real things you need to take care of. If you drop 15 lbs in a week or 15 lbs in 6 weeks which one do you think is going to be looking and FEELING sexy?
